1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PepPlanner LLC ("PepPlanner," "we," "us") governing the PepPlanner iOS app, its App Store landing pages, related APIs, content, and support services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
The Services are intended for adults age 18 or older. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and must comply with the laws that apply where you live. You may not use the Services on behalf of another person without appropriate authorization.
3. PepPlanner is not medical care
PepPlanner provides educational information, source references, user-entered local check-ins, and optional generic reminders. PepPlanner is not a physician, pharmacist, clinic, laboratory, medical device, diagnostic service, or emergency service. The Services do not create a clinician-patient relationship.
The Services do not diagnose, prescribe, select a treatment, verify an item, or tell you what amount, timing, or preparation to use. Always rely on current authoritative information and guidance from a qualified licensed professional. Do not delay or disregard professional care because of information in PepPlanner.
If you believe you may have an emergency, contact emergency services or an appropriate clinician immediately.
4. Research information and user-entered details
PepPlanner includes a six-lesson research-literacy library. Its educational material helps users understand research claims, study methods, evidence quality, uncertainty, trial records, and source review. It is not a prescription or an instruction for you.
You are responsible for checking the original linked source, its date, regulatory status, indication, population, and limitations. Sources can change, links can move, and PepPlanner may contain errors or become outdated.
Local check-ins reflect the title, private notes, date and time, and once, daily, weekly, or monthly cadence you enter. You are responsible for checking those details. PepPlanner does not choose or change them for you. Premium reminder notifications use generic text and do not include the check-in title or private notes.
5. PepAI
PepAI is an educational Premium feature. Before the first message is sent, PepPlanner asks for permission and names Cloudflare Workers AI, Google Gemini, and Groq as processors that may receive the message. If you choose Agree and continue, the app sends your message and an opaque conversation identifier through the PepPlanner service. Secure sign-in is used separately to confirm access.
PepAI messages remain only in the current in-memory screen and are not saved by the app; the app provides no chat archive. PepPlanner's API and the named providers may keep operational, safety, or security logs under their applicable policies. You can revoke PepAI sharing permission in Settings.
PepAI uses automated systems and educational context. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, incorrect, or misleading. Do not rely on PepAI as the sole basis for a health, treatment, or emergency decision.
You may not attempt to extract confidential prompts, credentials, private data, or security controls; use PepAI to generate unlawful or harmful material; or misrepresent an AI response as professional medical advice.
6. Accounts and your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate account information, protect your device and credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the content you choose to enter, save, export, or share.
You may sign out or request account deletion in the app. Account deletion is separate from Delete local app data, which removes local check-ins, local preferences, scheduled reminders, and PepAI sharing permission from the device. Hosted-account deletion is subject to limited retention needed for transactions, security, backups, legal obligations, and dispute resolution as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. App Store purchases and subscriptions
Paid iOS features are offered through Apple's in-app purchase system. Prices, billing period, free-trial availability, renewal terms, taxes, and eligibility are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before confirmation.
The free tier includes the six-lesson library and one local check-in. Premium adds multiple local check-ins, generic reminders, educational PepAI, and plain-text export of local check-ins. A PepPlanner account is required before a Premium purchase, and Premium access is associated with that account.
Purchases and restores for digital iOS features are available only inside PepPlanner through Apple's in-app purchase system.
- Apple charges your Apple Account and manages billing.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled through Apple at least as required by Apple's terms.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
- Refund requests are handled under Apple's policies.
- Lifetime access, when offered, applies to the current PepPlanner product and account subject to these Terms; it does not guarantee every future service or third-party cost will be included.
Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iOS app to the extent required or incorporated by the App Store.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Services for unlawful activity or to facilitate unsafe medical practice.
- Interfere with, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls except where law expressly permits.
- Use automated means to extract content or data without written permission.
- Upload malicious code, impersonate another person, or infringe privacy or intellectual-property rights.
- Sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services or PepPlanner content without permission.
- Use source cards, screenshots, or branding to imply endorsement by a regulator, study sponsor, journal, clinician, or manufacturer.
9. Ownership and feedback
PepPlanner and its software, design, branding, compilation, and original content are owned by PepPlanner or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Third-party labels, papers, trademarks, and linked materials remain the property of their owners.
You retain rights in content you enter or send. Local check-ins remain on your device. For content you send to PepPlanner's service, you grant PepPlanner a limited license to process it only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services. If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, provided we handle personal information under the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party services and links
The Services may link to Apple, FDA, ClinicalTrials.gov, journals, and other third parties. PepPlanner does not control their availability, content, privacy, security, or terms. A link identifies a source; it does not necessarily mean the third party endorses PepPlanner.
11. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, improve the Services, or respond to provider changes. We may limit or terminate access for violations of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, or legal requirements.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." PepPlanner disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and that errors will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PepPlanner and its owners, employees, contractors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, revenue, opportunity, or goodwill; or injury arising from reliance on research, reminder, export, or AI output.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, PepPlanner's total liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid PepPlanner through the App Store during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing. Applicable law may give you rights that cannot be limited.
14. General terms
These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement about the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our permission; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of the Services.
Applicable law governs these Terms without overriding consumer protections that cannot legally be waived. Any dispute should first be sent to the contact below so the parties can try to resolve it informally.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Services or law changes. We will post the revised version and update the date above. Continued use after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
